The intensive courses at Colón are recognized as educational leave in Hamburg. However, anyone can participate: for work, leisure, school, and vacation. It does not have to be educational leave. The duration of intensive courses is 2 weeks – a total of 60 teaching hours (45 minutes each) from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM. Intensive courses can also be booked for just 1 week (30 teaching hours).
Group size for English courses: only 5–10 participants Public holidays: missed lessons due to public holidays will be made up on the remaining course days; the teaching time will then be 3 days a week from 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. Course levels: A2 – placement test required! Booking notes / Process of your booking: 1. You register online 2. You receive a preliminary confirmation of registration 3. Placement test required – please take the placement test now and send us the result (not required for beginner courses) 4. Colón confirms the appropriate course level and confirms your registration for your intensive course. If you wish to submit this as educational leave to your company, please forward the confirmation of registration along with the official recognition as educational leave to your employer. 5. Please book your course in good time, ideally at least 2–3 weeks before the start of the course. If you wish to submit your course as educational leave, please note that registration should take place 6 weeks before the start of the course. 6. We use modern teaching materials that you can conveniently purchase at our foreign language bookstore in the building at standard bookstore prices (not included in the course fee).
Internal completion
Intensive English courses at Colón take place in small groups with a maximum of 10 participants – so you achieve quick learning success and enjoy the journey to your goal!
Course levels: Colón follows the ‘Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR’ with 6 course levels A1–C2. Courses take place at various levels; personal placement is required.
Gruppengröße: 5-12 Teilnehmer/innen pro Kurs (vorübergehend bis 14 Teilnehmer/innen). Lernmittel: Die Lehrbücher sind nicht im Kurspreis inbegriffen.
Die Intensivkurse 5×5 finden im offenen Kurssystem statt und werden im 4-Wochen-Rhythmus oder wöchentlich gebucht.
Kursbeginn für Teilnehmer/innen mit Vorkenntnissen ist jederzeit möglich. Hier geht es zum Einstufungstest. Teilnehmer/innen ohne Vorkenntnisse starten in Anfängerkursen.

Unterrichtszeit: Montag-Freitag: 8:50-13:00 Uhr (für je 5 Unterrichtsstunden).
